Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Spend Time with Daughter Kaavia at Paris Olympics: ‘Coming to You Live’

The 5-year-old watched the men’s basketball finals with her dad and had a stylish twinning moment with her mom

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade are having a ball at the Paris Olympics!

The couple and their daughter Kaavia James spent some quality time in the French capital this weekend — and Wade, 42, watched Team USA take home its fifth-straight Olympic gold medal in men’s basketball.

The NBA legend sat with Kaavia, 5, as he spectated the game on Saturday, Aug. 10. He documented the special father-daughter bonding moment on his Instagram Stories.

“So Daddy and Kaavia are coming to you live from Paris at halftime of the gold medal game,” the retired athlete said in a video posted mid-game on Saturday.

As the duo sat together in the stands of the men’s basketball finals — in which Team USA defeated France — Kaavia pulled at her hair, seemingly trying to take it out of its updo.

“Okay, take the hair down, take the hair down, hold on,” Wade said with a smile as the little one removed her hair tie.

Then, in the following post, the pair smiled for a selfie in the same spot — this time with Kaavia’s hair down, the way she wanted.

Union also documented some of the family’s Paris adventures on social media.

The Bring It On star, 51, and Kaavia wore matching red, white and blue ensembles from Polo Ralph Lauren as they cheered on Team USA — and the actress showed them off on Instagram on Saturday.

The mother-daughter pair cuddled in the stands in one photo, and posed in the streets of Paris in the next. Elsewhere in the post, Kaavia held up a faux Olympic torch and rested in bed as her mom snapped a pic.

Union, 51, also included a video of influencer Keith Lee mouthing the words to a popular TikTok audio while holding his young daughter, which she then quoted in the caption, writing, “When y’all see her you see me… #us 💁🏾‍♀️.”

Wade and Union welcomed Kaavia via surrogate in November 2018, and have since documented their adventures together on their respective Instagram accounts, as well as the one they run for Kaavia.

Also part of the couple’s blended family are Wade’s daughter Zaya, 17, and son Zaire, 22, whom he shares with his ex-wife Siovaughn Funches.

Wade also shares son Xavier, 10, with ex Aja Metoyer and is the legal guardian of his nephew, Dahveon Morris, 21.
