Selena Gomez’s Holiday Wardrobe Showcases Her Love Of British Brands

Like the rest of us, Selena Gomez has fallen for the relaxed silhouettes of two well-loved London brands: Rixo and Three Graces London. While celebrating her 27th birthday in Italy with her grandparents, the singer effortlessly mastered vacation style in a wardrobe that featured the best of British.

First of all, Gomez opted for Rixo’s “Josephine” dress while taking a laidback boat ride along the Tiber River. The dress, which featured a mixture of red and black polka dots and floral print, was the star’s attempt to channel a Fellini siren. Taking to Instagram she captioned it: “Me, Italy – trying desperately to look like a Fellini film.” The UK brand, founded by Orlagh McCloskey and Henrietta Rix, has long been synonymous with vintage-inspired pieces that combine relaxed silhouettes with statement prints and unique details.

Like Michelle Obama, Gomez has also caught onto the alluring neutral palettes and easy-yet-luxe fabrications of Three Graces London. The former First Lady recently wore the label’s copper cotton “Emma” sundress while strolling through the medieval city of Èze. She then paired her £450 cotton-poplin bell-shaped maxi with stacked gold chains, hoop earrings, a straw hat and bumper sunglasses for the trip to the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, La Chèvre d’Or. Now, Gomez has followed suit. While roaming the city, Gomez donned the brand’s “Ninetta” dress in a light yellow linen, pairing it with chunky gold hoops and white trainers.

It’s the second time Gomez has turned to the label while on holiday after recently wearing the brand’s “Geraldine” dress in Ecru – paired with a hat and muted sandals. “We put a lot of thought into the range of clothing that might be required while on vacation,” Catherine Johnson, who founded the London-based label in 2015, recently told Vogue. “We work with our European fabric mills to make beautiful materials for us to produce interesting designs that work for a variety of body shapes – and, can be worn at different times and in different ways.” It seems like timeless and quality summer pieces are right on our doorstep.
