But Selena Gomez looked the epitome of sophisticated confidence as she shot scenes for a PSA at a school in Los Angeles on Thursday. 

The 24-year-old star opted for a green and red jacket with roses emblazoned throughout, which she paired with high-rise tight skinny jeans and a basic white tank top.

 The jeans came down to her ankles, which allowed her to show off her strappy black sky-high stiletto sandals. 

Selena kept her face clean and clear with very little makeup to highlight her naturally gorgeous complexion. ` 

The Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself songstress finished off her natural look with a light layer of pale lipstick.

Selena was headed to do a special visit to an LA school, where she was due to give a talk.

While the school knew Coach’s CEO was coming to do a talk, the students were taken by surprise when celebrity ambassador Selena arrived.

The trip was organised by the charity ‘Step up’ which is supported by the Coach foundation.

Selena looked confident as she walked on set, but the former Disney star has suffered from body confidence issues in the past. 

In a new interview, the 24-year-old star reveals that attacks from trolls force her to delete her Instagram app ‘at least once a week’ from her phone.

‘You fixate on the [negative] ones,’ she told The New York Times. ‘They’re not like, “You’re ugly.” It’s like they want to cut to your soul. Imagine all the insecurities that you already feel about yourself and having someone write a paragraph pointing out every little thing – even if it’s just physical.’

The star landed her big break on the Disney Channel’s Wizards Of Waverly Place as a teen and, years on from the show, feels she’s struggled to secure more gritty and mature film roles.

Earlier in the day, Selena’s makeup artist Hugh Vanngo posted Selena’s hilarious reaction to a joke about her love for Canadian men, referring to Justin Bieber and The Weend, who are both Canadian. 

The pair were giving a shoutout to Canada in the video, when Vanngo quipped: ‘You know Selena loves Canadians.’

Selena replied: ‘All right, all right,’ before quickly shutting off the video. 

The hilarious moment went down on Vanngo’s Instagram story on Wednesday. 

The brunette’s comments about Internet trolls are not the first time she’s discussed her problems with social media, revealing an ‘addiction’ to Instagram.

The star explained her infatuation with the photo-sharing website caused her to feel ‘like s**t’ – even though she has 114 million followers. 

‘I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn’t want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn’t want to care about.

‘I always end up feeling like s**t when I look at Instagram. Which is why I’m kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit.’ 

The pair were giving a shoutout to Canada in the video, when Vanngo quipped: ‘You know Selena loves Canadians.’
