Stephen Curry, star of the Golden State Warriors, stopped by the Mets’ game against the Red Sox.
MLB Curry appeared to be enjoying the game without showing any loyalty, as he wasn’t sporting a Mets or Red Sox cap.
Following two historic performances, the four-time champion and two-time MVP had an exciting summer, helping Team USA win gold in the Paris Olympics last month.
Curry scored 36 points, including nine three-pointers, in the semifinal game against Serbia, tying him for the second-highest scoring effort by an American in the Olympics. Then, in the gold medal game against France, he scored 24 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, to secure his first Olympic medal.
Now that the Olympics are over, Curry appears to be taking it easy before the season begins in October.
The Mets and the Red Sox are trying to delay the start of their offseasons while Curry is enjoying his.
The Yankees are 73–64 for the season, good for a Wild Card spot in the National League that is only one game away. With a record of 70–67, Boston is four games behind the American League wild card spot and still has some work to do.
