Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson reunited at Sunday’s WNBA contest between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty.
Klay Thompson’s 11-year relationship with the Golden State Warriors ended this offseason as he was traded to join beaten 2024 NBA finalists the Dallas Mavericks. Most fans had thought that the Splash Brothers would eventually retire at the Dubs, but it just wasn’t meant to be for Thompson.
However, despite the acrimonious nature of his departure, as reports have it, he seems to be cool with long-time strike partner Stephen Curry. They recently reunited at Sunday’s WNBA contest between the Las Vegas Aces and the New York Liberty with a viral moment caught on camera, showing the Baby Faced Assassin joking to be disgusted as he saw Klay Thompson with new teammate Dereck Lively.

While Curry misses his partner in crime, their time together marked one of the greatest moments in the Warriors’ history as they both led the San Francisco team to an era of unprecedented success. The 34-year-old won four NBA titles with the Dubs and ended his career there with averages of 19.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 793 regular season appearances.
As for Thompson, he begins a new chapter with the Dallas Mavericks and would form a fierce three, comprising of scoring champion Luka Doncic and former NBA champion Kyrie Irving. The Mavs are slated to face the Warriors in what fans are tagging as a reunion-revenge game on the 12th of November.

Klay Thompson was meant to end his career with the Warriors, but that didn’t happen. However, Steph Curry is committed to being a one-club man and retire with the Dubs when the time is right, which he made known when he made an appearance on NBC’s Today show.
I hope so, for sure. I’m going into my 16th year and always said it’s a goal of mine to finish my career with that organization that has seen me go through the ranks and accomplish amazing things with Draymond and I know Klay’s not with us anymore.

Furthermore, Curry proved his commitment to the organization with a one-year contract extension worth $62.6 million, which keeps him till the 2026-2027 season. Last season he averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
However, the Golden State-based team’s work still needs to be done to provide Curry with a competitive roster to first take back control of the hotly contested Western Conference. The Warriors lost key trades like Paul George, who instead went to the Philadelphia 76ers and a failed attempt to lure Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz.
