World No.1 Jannik Sinner is hoping to win his second Grand Slam title of the season on Sunday (September 8th).
World No.1 Jannik Sinner is playing in the US Open final against local favorite Taylor Fritz. He is expected to meet up with many notable media personalities, and he met one of them before his big match.
The Italian was seen exchanging match outfits with NBA superstar Stephen Curry ahead of the final. Curry, the Olympic Gold medalist, was also seen in attendance for yesterday’s Women’s final between Aryna Sabalenka and Jessica Pegula.
Curry has pretty much enjoyed a tennis season as of late. Apart from the women’s final yesterday, he was seen catching up with tennis great Roger Federer on the Today Show recently. The American dreams were broken last night as Pegula lost to Sabalenka. However, Curry would hope that Fritz can turn the US fate around on Sunday (September 8).

World No.1 Jannik Sinner has given an update about the wrist problem that he sustained in the second set against Jack Draper. The Italian fell midway through the rally, appearing to have injured his left wrist. However, he regrouped and smoked a forehand cross-court for a winner.
The physio loosened it up very fast on court, so after I felt okay in the beginning. Then after it went away by playing, which is good. Let’s see how it is [Saturday] when it’s cold. It’s going to be a different feeling. Hopefully is nothing to concern about. I’m quite relaxed, because if it’s something bad, you feel it straightaway a bit more.

Both Draper and Sinner struggled throughout the majority of the match, with the British player suffering the most consequences. The left-hander vomited twice in the second set and appeared physically deflated despite not giving up in the match.
However, Sinner’s experience and big-match ability got him over the line as he is through to his second Grand Slam final. His opponent is 12th seed Taylor Fritz, who has shown determination throughout the tournament.
The right-hander defeated fellow American Frances Tiafoe in a grueling five-set semi-final and overcame seeded players Alexander Zverev and Casper Ruud to secure his place in his first Grand Slam final. However, his most significant challenge awaits as he faces the top-ranked player in the PIF ATP Rankings.
