Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry pledged to raise $25 million at their Eat. Learn. Play foundation to help schools in Oakland.

Stephen Curry hit the headlines when he agreed to a $62.6 million extension with the Golden State Warriors through the 2026-27 season. Post that, he, alongside wife Ayesha Curry, announced their commitment to invest a huge chunk of money in literacy programs. Their Eat. Learn. Play. foundation has pledged to use that money to help schools in Oakland over the next five years.
Steph Curry and Ayesha Curry have taken on some further efforts to bridge the literary gap in Oakland. They announced investing $25 million in their foundation which will provide 10,000 tutoring spots for elementary school students. The tutoring spots will accommodate one-on-one training to students who might be behind in reading and are in need of resources. Ayesha Curry explained that the progress will be gradual but efficient.
What’s interesting is it’s never been a one and done, and we’ve always slow rolled things out because we love to build a model that kind of proves itself and can stand on its own.
Ayesha and Steph Curry stated that their aim when they launched the foundation five years ago was to ensure every student had the resources they needed to be healthy and thrive. According to the foundation, Oakland students are falling behind at least 2 or more grade levels. Their aim was to give confidence to the students to achieve everything they wanted and succeed in all areas of success.
This was not the first of the initiative taken by the Currys. Last September, Eat. Learn. Play. launched a movement to raise $50 million in additional support for the students. Their aim is to invest that money by the end of the 2025-26 school year.

Steph Curry is back at the field, this time playing golf alongside Ayesha Curry with the aim of raising money for his Eat. Learn. Play. foundation. While they managed to raise $11 million, they aspire to not stop at just that through the 5th Annual Workday Charity Classic Golf Tournament.
In a conversation with NBC, Ayesha Curry expressed her understanding of the requirement for education being a parent herself. She empathized with other parents when she said that no parent should feel guilty about educating their children.
Their target with the golf tournament was to raise $2 million. Although, as difficult of a task that is, Steph Curry, being an avid golfer, had plenty tricks up his sleeves. Curry brought lots of star power with his brand name, including 2x Super Bowl Champion Peyton Manning and soccer legend Brandi Chastain.
