Tom Cruise hangs out with Benedict Cumberbatch inside the Royal Box at Wimbledon in London

Tom Cruise attended The Championships Wimbledon 2024 in London on Sunday where he sat with Benedict Cumberbatch inside the Royal Box of All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

The 62-year-old Mission: Impossible producer-star – rocking his signature shades – looked dapper wearing an eggplant-colored suit with a white button-up and lavender necktie.

Tom (born Thomas Mapother IV) was in great spirits, smiling and waving at his English fans, and even took pictures with the entire starstruck wait staff at the adjoining restaurant.

Last Monday, Cruise’s 31-year-old daughter Isabella ‘Bella’ Kidman Cruise posted a rare Instagram snap of her latest work of art.

The four-time Oscar nominee also adopted 29-year-old son Connor Antony Cruise during his decade-long marriage to ex-wife #2 Nicole Kidman, which ended in 2001.

Tom is estranged from his 18-year-old daughter Suri Noelle with ex-wife #2 Katie Holmes, whom he paid $4.8M in child support to after their six-year marriage ended in 2012.

Cruise also agreed to pay for Suri’s college tuition as well as ‘extracurricular costs’ and medical, dental, and insurance expenses – according to TMZ.

Meanwhile at Wimbledon, the New York-born Scientologist certainly charmed Benedict’s wife of nine years, Sophie Hunter, who wore a sleeveless yellow dress.

The 46-year-old former director – whose last gig was producing Cumberbatch’s film The End We Start From – took a seat between the movie stars.

Sophie originally met the Emmy winner – turning 48 this Friday – back in 1997, and they share three sons: Christopher, 9; Hal, 7; and Finn, 5.

Tom has never worked with Benedict, but they seemed thick as thieves chatting during the Gentlemen’s Singles Final match.

Last month, Cumberbatch began filming his role as Theo in Jay Roach’s upcoming satirical dramedy The Roses alongside Olivia Colman, Kate McKinnon, and Andy Samberg.

On Cruise’s right-hand side was Christopher McQuarrie, who directed him in the final Mission: Impossible 8 scheduled to hit US/UK theaters on May 23, 2025.

And next January, the 55-year-old Oscar-winning screenwriter will direct the 5ft7in action star and Scarlett Johansson in an R-rated remake of Clint Eastwood’s 1977 thriller The Gauntlet.

Tom – who signed a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery in January – is also set to star in an untitled Alejandro G. Iñárritu film as well as Doug Liman’s untitled SpaceX project and Edge of Tomorrow sequel, Live Die Repeat and Repeat.

Also seated in the same row as Cruise and Cumberbatch were Julia Roberts and her husband of 22 years, Daniel Moder.

The VIPs watched as Spanish tennis champ Carlos Alcaraz beat his Serbian rival Novak Djokovic to win his second consecutive Wimbledon title.
