Warriors dealt huge blow with Steph Curry out several weeks with shoulder injury

The Warriors will have to make do without Steph Curry in the coming stretch.

Curry sustained a left shoulder injury late in the third quarter of Wednesday night’s loss to the Pacers, as he was trying to reach in on Jalen Smith who was going to the hoop.

Thursday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Golden State expects Curry to be out for “a few weeks” with the shoulder injury — meaning the Warriors star will miss Tuesday’s clash with the Knicks at Madison Square Garden and the following evening’s game against the Nets in Brooklyn.

“Steph is always a guy with a great outlook on life, so he’s in good spirits,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told reporters after the game on Wednesday.

The defending champion Warriors ultimately lost 125-119 to the Pacers to fall to 14-15, the tenth seed in the Western Conference.

Steph Curry injured his shoulder against the Pacers and is slated to miss a few weeks.

Golden State is two games into a six-game road trip, with the 76ers and Raptors not having to face the elite shooter. The Warriors are 2-13 on the road this season.

Curry, a sure-fire first-ballot Hall of Famer, is averaging 30 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game this season.

The 34-year-old Curry is an eight-time All-Star, two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion.
