A football fan who ran onto the pitch during Celtic’s Champions League group clash with PSG and attempted to kick wonderkid Kylian Mbappe has been sentenced.
John Hatton, 21, entered the field during the latter stages of the tie at Celtic Park and aimed a kick at French youngster Mbappe – actions which have seen him landed with 160 hours of community service and a four-year ban.
Hatton, who hails from Belfast, Northern Ireland, missed in his attempts to make contact with the 18-year-old and was soon halted by club stewards as he made his way across the turf.

Fellow Celtic fans audibly booed as Hatton was escorted off the pitch, in a game which Brendan Rodgers’ side went on to lose 5-0.
Mbappe was among the goals in the game, giving his side a 2-0 lead on the half hour mark.
UEFA confirmed immediately at the time that they would be looking in to the act of misconduct.
The unruly fan pled guilty to assault and behaviour likely to incite public disorder last month.
Mbappe had the last laugh and got himself on the score sheet alongside team-mate Neymar
A judge at Glasgow Sheriff Court has now passed verdict on the incident and sentencing has been issued.
Hatton has received 160 hours community pay back order and has also been banned from football matches in the UK for four years, except grounds in Northern Ireland.
