Tom Cruise passionately embraced his rumoured ex Hayley Atwell, in Rome on Sunday.

The duo shared a huge during a cocktail party at the hotel De Russie, ahead of the Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning world premiere.

Tom, 60, showed off his famously buff body in a tight-fitting blue polo shirt and a smart pair of navy trousers.

Hayley, 41, looked fabulous in sparkling lilac trousers and a silky baby blue blouse, which she teamed with chic white sandals.

The co-stars seemed unbothered by who saw them as they wrapped their arms around one another to share a meaningful hug in the middle of the party.

She teamed her midriff-flashing bandeau with a high-waisted pair of white paper bag trousers.

The world premiere is scheduled to take place in Rome on July 10, just two days before the movie’s theatrical release in the United States.

Rumours flew in 2021 and 2022 that Tom and Hayley were romantically involved, but Hayley recently quashed rumours the pair were romantically involved while shooting Part One in the May-June issue of .

‘I felt like if I ever was worried about it, I could talk to him [Tom],’ the newly-engaged star said of the dating rumours.

‘And I know that he would’ve said, “People say whatever they want to say, but you know who you are, I know who I am and I want you to feel safe in this environment.”‘

Tensions mounted to the point that audio footage leaked in late 2020 of Tom shouting expletives at crew members, evidently because they had failed to properly comport with the social distancing protocols.

‘No apologies,’ he raged. ‘You can tell it to the people that are losing their f***ing homes because our industry is shut down.

It’s not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education.’
