NBA Star Kevin Durant Makes Big Announcement After Paris Olympics
Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant became USA Basketball’s all-time leading scorer during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Breaking WNBA legend Lisa Leslie’s record en route to his fourth Olympic gold medal, Durant had a historic summer.
One of the NBA‘s most accomplished players on the court, Durant is also very active off the court. Involved in several different business ventures, Durant is the co-founder of Boardroom, a sports and entertainment media network he began with his business partner Rich Kleiman.
Following his gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Durant announced through the Boardroom account on X that he has invested in Paris Saint-Germain.
Boardroom shared additional details in a post below the initial announcement.
“Earlier this month, Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi welcomed Durant and his long-time business partner, entrepreneur [Rich Kleiman] to the Paris Saint-Germain Campus to kick off the partnership with a visit to the Club’s state-of-the-art training facility and education centre,” Durant’s Boardroom wrote in an additional post on X. “They witnessed first-hand how the Club’s values of innovation and excellence are embodied in this new environment, where Paris Saint-Germain is nurturing the stars of tomorrow.”

As the announcement detailed, Durant’s trip to Paris for the Olympics helped bring this together, as the 14-time NBA All-Star was able to visit the Paris Saint-Germain Campus earlier this month.
An advocate for women’s and youth sports, Durant’s new partnership aligns with those values.
“They also spent time with Paris Saint-Germain’s professional football teams, with a particular focus on the women’s and youth academy teams – areas of strong interest for him both in terms of sport and investment,” Boardroom added of Durant and Kleiman’s visit to the Paris Saint-Germain Campus. “Durant and Kleiman’s sports and entertainment media network Boardroom will work with Paris Saint-Germain to develop a multi-faceted collaboration that spans content and strategy.”
One of the NBA’s biggest stars, Durant is expanding his business involvements off the court with this new investment.
This caps off an incredibly successful summer, as Durant leaves Paris with a gold medal and new business partnership.
