WNBA and Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese was rumored to be dating NBA and Team USA superstar Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant is the rare type of NBA superstar who actively avoids being linked with women. It’s not like he hasn’t had relationships in the past, but he prefers to focus on playing basketball and growing his businesses. However, people want to see him with someone. So, when the chance appeared, fans and the media lapped it up and linked him with WNBA star rookie Angel Reese.

The Chicago Sky star was talking about relationships on her new podcast Unapologetically Angel. When host Maya Reese asked her specifically about the Durant rumors, she replied the whole truth about the situation. Interestingly, Durant is the favorite player of the Chicago Sky rookie.

“That was never a thing. I don’t even know how that even became a thing because I sat next to somebody. I don’t know where that even came from. KD has literally been my favorite player since I was literally a kid. He’s still my favorite player. I love his mom. She comes out and supports the games. So yeah, that was that. I don’t even know where that even came from.”

Reese specifically clarified that she was not dating Kevin Durant, especially as she respected the superstar. Instead, she clarifies that she is a fan and appreciates the support he gives to the women’s game. The NBA stars supporting their WNBA counterparts remains a wholesome affair.

The dating rumor between Durant and Reese had an unusual beginning. Just because she sat near him during the Team USA basketball game, she was instantly rumored to possibly be dating the NBA superstar. The social media age paves the way for some unsubstantiated rumors from time to time. This is no different.

Angel Reese did say that her friend sat beside Stephen Curry. However, the internet didn’t link her with the Golden State Warriors superstar just because he was married. Interestingly, the Chicago Sky rookie did acknowledge that she gets linked to 95% of the men she meets or is seen sitting with.
