It’s times like these you learn to love again – and Dave Grohl‘s wife Jordyn Blum is leaning on her close friends following the rockstar’s shock confession that he fathered a child with another woman outside of their 21-year marriage.

The Foo Fighter’s front man, 55, made the bombshell admission in a statement posted to his Instagram on Tuesday, in which he told fans he plans to be a ‘loving and supportive parent’ to his new daughter.

Following his confession, and amid rumors he has already hired a divorce attorney, Blum, 48, has turned to her close friend, Hollywood A lister Kate Hudson, who was reportedly ‘disgusted’ when she learned the news.

‘Jordyn is getting major support from one of her besties – Kate Hudson,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘She was surprised and disgusted that at Dave’s age he’s still cheating on not only Jordyn, but their girls too.’

They added that since Grohl’s affair and baby news broke, Hudson, 45, has been consoling Blum, who shares daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, with the musician.

‘[She even sent] her a huge basket of balloons with personalized phrases on them including “Stay Strong,”‘ the source revealed.

‘Kate told Jordyn she’s there for her 24/7 and not to hesitate to pick up the phone even if it’s for a good cry or if she needs her to come over for a hug and a heart to heart.

‘Kate would stay with her in a heartbeat if she asked.’

Blum and Hudson have been private about their friendship, often attending the same events but are rarely pictured together – although the duo follow each other on social media.

They were joined by Grohl and Leslie Mann at the Adidas Stella McCartney Party in Los Angeles back in February 2023, with the quartet posing for a group picture.

It is unclear when they first became friends, but Hudson, who starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, previously dated fellow rocker, Muse front man Matt Bellamy, from 2010 to 2014.

The exes share a son, Bingham, 13.

The now estranged couple were then pictured at Wimbledon in July, with resurfaced clips showing a dismissive Grohl offering gruff, clipped responses to reporters

The actress, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance as a rock groupie in 2000’s Almost Famous, also released her debut album earlier this year, and performed numbers from the record to a star studded crowd which included her mother Goldie Hawn, back in May.

Grohl, who met ex-model Blum in 2001 before tying the knot in 2003, shocked fans when he revealed he has fathered a fourth daughter with an undisclosed woman.

‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,’ he wrote in a statement on Tuesday, shattering his image as Rock’s Mr. Nice Guy. ‘I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.

‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.’

On Wednesday, a since-deleted Instagram post by user @valeriegreyston featuring a picture of a baby allegedly called ‘Roxie Junie Grohl’ – which the user claimed is Grohl’s daughter – went viral.

However, a representative for the former Nirvana drummer told TMZ that it is fake.

The rocker, who has often been described as a ‘family man,’ has talked frequently over the years about how important family has been for him.

In 2007, he told The Guardian: ‘[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.’

Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family ‘changed everything that I do.’

‘When you have kids, you see life through different eyes,’ he said. ‘You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.’

Prior to meeting Blum, Grohl’s checkered rock star past was plagued with rumors – and admissions – of infidelity.

He divorced his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood in 1997 after admitting to cheating. Reflecting on their three-year marriage in 1999, he said: ‘I was 25, my wife was even younger. We weren’t ready to get married.’

He then dated Louise Post from the band Veruca Salt – who accused him of cheating on her with actress Winona Ryder and a handful of other women.

He appeared to cement his status as a ladies man in 2002 when he confirmed he ‘did’ groupies.

‘Groupies come to the back,’ he told The Face. ‘They know what they want; they know what the band wants. It just happens. It’s that easy.’
