Savannah James is 37! She celebrated her birthday earlier this week on Instagram, with her hubby, NBA superstar LeBron James aka “King James”, then re-sharing her post on his Stories with a big heart emoji at the centre.

In the photo, Savannah looks as stylish as ever, donning an all-black feathery one-piece complete with minimal jewellery, sleek hair and stilettos. The happy couple and their family are known to enjoy a luxurious, fabulous lifestyle, with LeBron often referring to his incredibly stylish wife as his “queen”, of course.

There’s no doubt that the James household are basketball royalty, with LeBron achieving billionaire status last year, according to Forbes. We take a closer look into how the power couple splash their cash.

How did LeBron and Savannah James meet?

These two are the epitome of couple goals. According to Cleveland Magazine, they met in their teens, when Savannah was a 16-year-old at Buchtel senior school, and LeBron was a 17-year-old at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Ohio.

Their first date? LeBron invited her to one of his basketball games (of course), followed by a hang-out at a local Applebee’s, states the source. They’ve been together ever since.

LeBron and Savannah have three kids together: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., 18, Bryce Maximus, 16, and Zhuri Nova, 8. They’ve been spotted jet-setting on family holidays to places like the beautiful Turks and Caicos.

However, according to Essence, details about their wedding day in 2013 remained a mystery for many fans until 2021, when LeBron decided to post a glimpse into their special day, which he dubbed their “personal Met Gala”. According to reports, the nuptials were spread over a three-day bash in San Diego.

A-list pals

The Los Angeles Lakers player and his fashionable interior designer wife aren’t short of celebrity pals to hang out with either. LeBron is known to hang with Michelle Obama, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber, Serena Williams, Drake, Will Smith and Dave Chapelle, and the couple have also been pictured with Rich Paul (Adele’s boyfriend) after attending Leonardo DiCaprio’s 48th birthday party.

Oh, and let’s not forget their glamorous couples’ holidays with Paul and Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.

According to British media, LeBron boasts a US$100 million property portfolio that includes three mansions in Los Angeles alone (one in Beverly Hills and two in Brentwood). Fox News reported that the NBA superstar recently demolished the family’s US$37 million 13,000 sq ft Beverly Hills house to rebuild a shiny new “dream home”.

James’ collection also includes a US$9 million Bath Township property in his hometown, Ohio.
