Kevin Durant spoke about NFL side Dallas Cowboys recently on the Up and Adams Show alongside host Kay Adams.
One of the greatest basketball players of all time is Kevin Durant. He is just coming off a gold medal winning campaign with Team USA in the Olympics and is now spending time in the offseason. While he is an NBA great, Durant loves the NFL, especially the Washington Commanders, and also opened up on the league recently.
However, it came as a surprise when Durant expressed his dislike for the Dallas Cowboys in a TV appearance this week. When Durant was on the “Up & Adams” show, he declared that if the NFL played promotion/relegation like international soccer, he would fire the Cowboys. This was a huge statement made by a highly recognized sports personality in the nation.
Cowboys easy. I just don’t like them… The Cowboys is that one team I just don’t like. I think it’s because a lot of people where I’m from in D.C. have become Cowboys fans. It’s probably like 75% of people in Washington, D.C. in my group of people that are Cowboys fans. I just hate that they don’t stay loyal to the crib.

Durant clarified that he isn’t always frustrated with the Cowboys because of the team. But the reason for that is the Cowboys’ nationwide fan base and the fact that people in his local community have come to support them instead of sticking with the Commanders in the D.C. region. It remains to be seen what the fans have to say about this.

Kevin Durant has caught the attention of not only the NBA community but also the NFL community this time around. Durant has been a long-time admirer of the NFL, particularly the Washington Commanders. KD recently partnered up with ‘FanDuel Sportsbook’ to make a few NFL picks for the 2024 season.
He explained his motivation behind the move in an interview with Kay Adams. He also confirmed his inclination towards the Commanders in the same interview.

Durant is not the only NBA star to give out NFL picks. NBA legend LeBron James also is a big football fan and has partnered up with DraftKings to give out his NFL picks.
Aside from the NFL, Durant’s complete focus will be on his NBA side, the Phoenix Suns, this upcoming season. After having a wonderful campaign with his nation, Team USA at the Paris Olympics, Durant will be hoping to continue that form going into the 2024-25 season. However, it won’t be easy for the Suns with the competition fiercer than ever. It will be intriguing to watch how Durant and Co. will perform in the upcoming NBA season.
