Kevin Durant went viral last month when a video surfaced of him practising his shooting form in the club.
During an appearance on âUp & Adamsâ this week, Durant told the story behind the video for the first time.
âI was lifting that whole week so my shoulder was a little tight,â Durant said. ââŠAnd then my boy was like âIâll lock you up, like you canât score on me.â When he told me that, I was just trying to show him what I would do once we get on the court.
â..You couldnât see him in the video. He was like right across the section. I was like on the dance floor, and he was like screaming at me that he can guard me. So I had to show him what I was gonna do to him.â
With a disappointing postseason in the rearview mirror, Durant is now embracing the summer with the U.S. national team in the lead up to the Paris Olympics, and recently spoke about playing alongside LeBron James and Steph Curry.
âThese guys are still playing at an elite level. I feel like Bron could play 4 or 5 more and be here in 2028 in [the Los Angeles Olympics],â Durant told ESPN.
âStephâs still playing great ball. Iâm doing all right, too⊠I donât want this to be a farewell tour or make it just about us three. Itâs about trying to win this fifth in a row.â
