Kevin Durant of the Suns is in support of LeBron James’ decision to join the Lakers.
James’ choice to transfer to the West was a “perfect move,” and Durant expressed his “absolutely love” for the choice to Marc Spears of The Undefeated.
It was really good! I loved it! stated Durant. That was a wise choice, in my opinion; he finished everything in Cleveland. In addition to acting morally, he is also going against the stereotype of what it takes to be an NBA all-star. Everything appears to have a place, but only one. He did a good job of breaking out the material into chapters. I believe it will make for a more engaging book once he’s done.
Durant also discussed the Warriors’ surprise acquisition of DeMarcus Cousins, the most well-known free agent deal of the summer.
Regarding DeMarcus’ choice to sign with the Thunder, Durant remarked, “I knew how important this time was for DeMarcus to find a team and find somebody that is going to help him get through this injury first and then play his best basketball.” Durant was “so excited” by this realization.
While in the theater, Durant claims to have informed Spears that he had calls, but Spears declined to answer them. But by the time he returned home, the deal was complete. He FaceTimed his cousins and gave Bob Myers, the general manager of the Warriors, a call.
Durant claims that the criticism he has received for the choice hasn’t changed him.
It was evident. Not everyone can truly enjoy a fantastic product. Being exceptional helps you stand out, which some people may find frightening. We both came in with a basketball mentality, so I thought our strategies and his had some value. From that vantage point, everything turns out nicely.
Before the season ends, he hopes to see a comeback from the Warriors and DeMarcus Cousins. Durant immediately brought up the fact that the team is giving Cousins plenty of time to recover because they want him to be completely healthy when he rejoins the field.
Durant will receive coaching from newly hired Team USA coach Gregg Popovich at a minicamp in Las Vegas, where he will be with thirty-five other players.
Coach K was the head coach for a very long time. With another brilliant basketball player in charge of the squad, it will be an exciting and novel transition, Durant added. All I want is an excellent education so that, God willing, I can serve my nation when the time comes. I’m excited for the upcoming days because I really want to be ready for everything.
