Kylian Mbappe ‘is still chasing a £47MILLION unpaid bonus from PSG’… as Real Madrid star ‘takes his case to UEFA’ ahead of legal battle

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly contacted UEFA regarding the £47million payment the Frenchman believes he was not paid during his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to reports from Le Monde, the total amount includes his signing bonus, which the player was initially meant to receive in February, as well as the last three months of his salary.

The France international left Les Parisiens this summer after his contract expired, before joining Real Madrid.

Since then, the 25-year-old made two appearances for the LaLiga title holders, scoring his debut goal against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup and winning his first trophy at the club.

Despite his move, Mbappe’s situation remains tied to his former club, as he has reportedly taken the case to UEFA, the French Professional Football League, and the French Football Federation.

According to reports, the amount includes a part of his signing bonus meant to be paid in February, as well as his wages for the last three months

Meanwhile, PSG are reportedly refusing to pay the bonus to Mbappe because the player guaranteed the club he wouldn’t leave for free

Previously, Mail Sport reported that Mbappe and PSG parted ways on good terms, agreeing that the striker would leave over a free transfer in the summer transfer window.

As a part of the deal, it was understood that the 25-year-old would waive some of his bonus and salary. However, the player is now demanding the money the club owes him.

According to French media, PSG and its main shareholder, Qatar Sports Investments, owe Mbappe €55million (£47million), which includes a part of his signing bonus and the salary for his last three months – April, May and June.

Earlier reports indicated that the Ligue 1 title holders had refused to pay Mbappe his wages in an effort to save the promised loyalty bonus from his 2022 extension.

Furthermore, now PSG believes that Mbappe should not receive the money owed to him as they had an agreement that he would not leave the club for free.

The club has reportedly issued a written warning over the case in response to Mbappe’s action.

Reports in June stated that the striker sent PSG a formal notice regarding £85million in unpaid finances after they claimed that they simply ‘forgot’ to pay his wages.

However, sources from PSG exclusively told Mail Sport that the club ‘does not want to make any comment on the ongoing discussions.’

It is believed that that Les Parisiens haven’t been contacted by UEFA, FPFL or FFF yet.

Although the dispute began throughout the 2023-24 season, Mbappe demonstrated respect upon his PSG departure at the Globe Soccer Awards in May.

‘It is always an honour for me to be here with you guys,’ he said.

‘We won many trophies and thank you to my team-mates, to everyone that helped me. It’s part of the journey, and I want to work hard to keep my name in the history of football,’ added the Frenchman.
