So it was nice to see LeBron James join his former teammate Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union over the weekend, enjoying a relaxing getaway in the Bahamas.

Also accompanied by fellow MBA superstar Chris Paul, the group were seen having a great time kicking back on a super luxury yacht, the Amarula Sun, off the Bahamian island of Staniel Cay.

They spent a few days anchored off the beautiful island, and could be seen riding jet skis as well as throwing themselves down a huge water slide and flying around in a water jet pack.

Soaking up the balmy climes, the stars even enjoyed a ride on a banana boat. They eased their way across the ocean speedily and with panache, sitting upright on the sea vehicle for good measure.

‘They were definitely having a great time,’ an onlooker said. ‘They had loud music all day. You could see them hanging out and having fun. It was an impressive boat.’

At one point they visited Pig Beach, where tourists can take pictures with wild pigs in the water, but only Hollywood actress Gabrielle ventured out to see them.

Stripped down to black swimming trunks, 30-year-old LeBron looked in great physical shape as he frolicked around the glistening sea.

Meanwhile, the sporting ace is hosting a private screening of Trainwreck, a new comedy in which he plays himself in a supporting role as the best friend of star Bill Hader.

This is the first major acting role for James, who guided the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals this season. The four-time league MVP is currently a free agent but is expected to re-sign with the Cavs this month.

Hader, actress Amy Schumer and director Judd Apatow are expected to attend the invitation-only screening. James previously worked with Hader when he hosted Saturday Night Live.
