Jordan has an estimated net worth of $3.5 billion
Bloomberg Billionaires Index has tracked NBA-legend Michael Jordan’s fortune for the first time, reporting an estimated net worth of $3.5 million. The sum makes Jordan, who led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA titles, the richest basketball player of all time.

Jordan recently sold his stake in the Charlotte Hornets, after purchasing a majority stake in the basketball team in 2010. Bloomberg’s estimate assumes that he sold 65%, in a $3 billion deal that would allow him to retain less than 5%.
Throughout his career, the player made a salary of over $90 million, alongside various endorsements – including a 10-year, $13.5 million deal with Gatorade. In 1984, Jordan also signed a $2.5 million, five-year contract with Nike, launching the iconic Air Jordans. Bloomberg estimates that Jordan still receives a 5 percent royalty.
