‘Nothing But Love’ – Draymond Green explains his admiration for Kevin Durant, says Kevin Durant is one of the best.

Between 2016 and 2019, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green won two titles and appeared in three NBA Finals. Durant’s tenure in Golden State did not go well, but Green indicated he still has feelings for the Phoenix Suns star.

Green detailed his relationship with Durant on the February 29 episode of “7pm in Brooklyn with Carmelo Antony & Kid Mero.” Adam Wells of Bleacher Report transcribed Green’s words.

“I appreciate KD as a basketball player. He’s one of the best we’ve ever seen, and that’s really where it’s at. I have no ill will. I truly have nothing but affection for KD. But love is love. Do you understand what I am saying? Green stated.

He went on to say that his love for Green is so strong that Durant would have to do something extremely horrible to lose it.

“If I love you, my love will never wane. My s-t isn’t leaving tomorrow. No, I have affection for both you and K. That’s not going anywhere. Do you understand what I am saying? That will be the case indefinitely. That is exactly how I am. Do you understand what I am saying? I once felt affection for you, bro. You’ve had to do some crazy f-ked up s-t for me to no longer adore you.

Draymond Green wishes Kevin Durant would call him

Though Draymond Green claims it’s all love between him and Kevin Durant, he wishes Durant hadn’t spoken to the media about Green’s troubles.

Green expressed regret on Anthony’s podcast that Durant did not approach him privately.

“I believe he did some wild s-t recently, and you go on TV—bro, you have my phone number—you go on TV and tell me I hope he gets assistance. You [Melo] hit me, you get what I’m saying? You struck me like, “I’m here for you, bro, if you need anything.” If that’s how you feel, beat me. You understand? So I thought that was crazy. It irritated me, but I always loved KD. Do you understand what I am saying? That means we don’t have to talk every day or anything like that.”

After Green hit Jusuf Nurkic in the face, Durant expressed his support for his former Warriors teammate.

Kevin Durant May Return to Former Team

Kevin Durant began his career with the Seattle SuperSonics and moved to Oklahoma City after his rookie season in 2008. NBA Hall-of-Famer Spencer Haywood believes Durant could complete his career in Seattle.

Haywood stated as much in a piece with SuperSonics alumni published on March 4 by HoopsHype’s Jake Uitti.

“Me and Durant are still discussing Seattle. We discussed that at the All-Star game this year. I can’t go any farther because there’s some secretive activity going on that I can’t discuss because it’s private. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in a Sonics uniform again. I attended the All-Star game with him and his mother, as well as everyone else. “I am just saying.”

Seattle currently does not have a team, however if the NBA expands, the city may be able to reclaim its club.
