Cruise will return for a sixth outing as special agent Ethan Hunt when the new film goes on general release in July, and the actor was on hand to provide commentary while screening a breath-taking skydiving scene.

‘It took a year to figure this sequence out,’ Cruise, who famously performs all of his own stunts, told the audience on Wednesday evening.

British star Cavill, 34, joins Cruise as CIA agent August Walker in the latest Mission: Impossible installment, and he admitted the scene, in which he also features, was akin to something from one of the actor’s most iconic films.
