Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has sent a heartfelt message of support to wife Coleen ahead of tonight’s I’m A Celebrity final.

Coleen will compete against Danny Jones and Richard Coles with the bumper episode scheduled to be broadcast live on ITV1 at 9pm. Husband Wayne, who is facing continuing pressure over his job at Plymouth Argyle, oversaw a 4-0 defeat against Bristol City last weekend and is said to be fighting for his job at Home Park.

Taking to Instagram alongside his sons Kai and Klay, the trio echoed their support for Coleen and persuaded viewers to register their votes for her to be crowned queen of the jungle.

“Hi Mum, I just want to wish you good luck in the final and hopefully you can bring the win home. Good luck,” began Klay.

“Hi Mum, [I am] excited to watch tonight and you have shown everyone who you really are. You have done us all proud and we all love you so much,” added Kai.

“Hi Col, we just want to wish you all the best in the final tonight,” added Wayne in the touching message. “We have all been so proud of you and I think you have shown everyone who you really with your character.

“Everyone who watches this video please go and vote for Coleen. [She needs] one last push and we want her to come home as queen of the jungle. No matter, you will be our queen and we are all really excited to see you. All the best.”

According to the latest odds, Coleen is the second favourite to win the popular TV show, with Jones out in front. Oddschecker hand her a 12/5 chance of emerging victorious, with the former McFly band member priced at 8/13.
